President’s Message – January 2023

Greetings Chapter members,

We hope you all had a happy holiday season and welcome you to 2023! The Crew is working in the background to put this year’s activities together and we’ll be keeping you updated on what we have planned for the year in the coming months

In the meantime, mark your calendars for this year’s show:

The 49th Annual Lake Winnipesaukee Antique & Classic Boat Show

Saturday, July 29th at the Wolfeboro Town Docks

We’ll be hosting our usual Friday Night Cocktail Reception on the eve of the show, more details on that to come at a later date. We will be opening online registrations for the show in the coming months, check back here on the website and if you’re a member keep an eye on your email for the announcement. We look forward to seeing you all there once again, be it as participants or spectators!

We have some other things planned for the year, some of which we’re keeping under our hat for the moment, but there are a few things we can mention now:

  • We’re currently planning a date and venue for our Annual Meeting to be held this spring, which is open to all membership, we’ll let you know that info as soon as we have it.
  • We’re going to re-vitalize our Trading Dock section of the website as it has not seen much use in recent years. The Trading Dock is a place where you can list your boat or boat related items for sale. It is a membership perk that you have and we want to make sure it gets full useage! If you have a boat for sale, boat equipment or memorabilia that you’d like to list for sale please reach out to our webmaster Steve at for more details.
  • We’re planning on migrating our website to a different web host sometime in the coming weeks. We don’t expect any interruption in service, but in the unlikely event that you should visit the site and it is down, rest assured it is merely temporary and it will be back up quickly.
  • Also, in case you haven’t seen it yet, the video recording for our event When It All Began – A tribute to Gerry Davidson and key members who had the foresight to put it all together, held last October, is up here on the website and is available for you to watch! Some cool stories from the panel as well as attendees. Did you know we were the first ever Chapter of ACBS National? Bet ya didn’t! Head on over and check it out on this page.

We’ll be updating the website as new information is available as well as reaching out to you all via email. In the meantime let’s buckle down for the winter and think of the warmer days to come! Hope all is well.

Best regards,
Phil Spencer
